Precious Moments
Morgan is really starting to sing and request specific songs - who knew an old camp song would become her favorite!

Mom has moved!
It's been a bit nutty at the hospital with all the therapists coming and going so I haven't been able to get on the computer there and write an update. Mom has now been moved to a rehab facility in Rhinelander and will be there for a minimum of 2 weeks and it's looking more like 3 to 4. I will not post updates here any longer but will be continuing to post on her Caring Bridge. Here is that address so you can keep tabs on her and write her notes there:

Out of surgery
Mom finally came out of surgery at 5PM. The Ortho doc said that the break was not as clean as the xray presented and needed to pin the bone then wrap the entire neck of the femur in wire. However, even with that he was very optimistic that she will heal well. The first time the doc presented the surgery options he said she would be up and sitting on the bed by the end of the day. We are hopeful the she be able to do that. She will start physical therapy in the morning. No news on how long she will be in the hospital. At this point it depends on how well she gains mobility in the next few days. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers and I will try to post again soon.
For those who will check here for updates
Well Morgan and I have been in the north woods of Wisconsin visiting 'Kat' & PaPa. My mom fell Sunday evening and was in so much continuous pain that we decided it best to have her seen. Turns out she did break her hip. So now fast forward to today (Tuesday) - mom's on deck for her surgery, we are waiting for the Orthopedic surgeon to get done with a knee replacement. She has opted for door number 2 and will have the neck of her femur pinned. Everyone is very optimistic that the surgery will go very well and that even in mom's chemo condition she will heal well and may even be sitting on the edge of the bed by this evening. I'll try to get back here to post updates as they come. Unfortunately Internet access is limited so be patient :)
