To my Beautiful Mom

My heart is breaking
My mom is gone
The whole reason for this blog was for her to watch Morgan grow

She died suddenly, but quietly and peacefully early Saturday morning at home with my dad. She and my dad had made decisions long ago to be cremated and she will be interred at Fort Snelling.

Her funeral service will be:
Saturday Nov. 5 1PM
St, Matthais Church, Minocqua Wi

In the spring we will have a committal service at Fort Snelling. We will let everyone know as we get closer to spring the date and time.

This evening we were skyping with Papa and Morgan drew this all by herseld then asked to write the words in to label each person. She's been running around the house saying M-O-M spells MOM, so she was able to label 'me' on her own. I wrote out dad and kid on another paper and she copied it.

All fall Morgan's been asking to go with Eva out to the barn. We finally got all important persons in one place and Morgan got to ride.

A Weekend with Kat and Papa

1st Dentist Visit

On September 27 Morgan saw the dentist for the first time. We read lots of stories at home about going to the dentist, talked lots about what she would see and hear and on the morning we went she was so excited.  I think the cartoons she got to watch had her totally absorbed! She was so good though, that the hygenist was able to get a full first set of x-rays as well as a whole head scan.

And the report?  she has perfect little white teeth!...

That are too close together and will have us starting braces or  a mouth peice as soon as her top front teeth appear. I guess we start saving now...
