She's not in the low percentiles anymore!

We had to do a quick run to the doctor today because she had green goo coming out of her nose and eyes. While there she had to be weighed and I asked to have her measured as well: 25.8 lbs (up 2 whole pounds since January) that gets her into the 10-25%; and 36.25" tall gets her up to the 75-90%!!!

New Beginnings

It's Spring Time and our Robins are back for another stay on the garage. This year Morgan is able to really understand what the nest is and watch Mama bird. The other day I lifted Morgan up to see in the nest and completely unprompted she answered me:

me, "What do you see?"

Morgan,"Blue eggs! Robin has blue eggs!"

For our Family in Japan

Our new favorite music? Rhythm? Percussion?

Taiko Drumming!

Fargo/Moorhead is such an interesting place so narrowminded politacally but so diverse and supportive of the Arts. Concordia and MSUM (MN State U @ Moorhead) are world reknown for their music programs; Concordia obviously for their singing and MSUM for Jazz and percussion! Last Saturday MSUM presented to workshops 1. Bharanatanatyam - Ragamala Dance: traditional Indian dance and 2. Taiko Drumming with Art Lee and the Tokara Ensamble.

Morgan and I joined Elizabeth and Julia again for yet another cultural event! We started with the dancing thinking the girls would enjoy it. Elizabeth and I got a work out but the girls swept the floor with their tummies. So we headed over to the drumming. At first it was disappointing because we had missed the opening performance and the drummers were just lecturing. Bless Morgan's little heart - she sat through 30 minutes of adult questions. But in the end they performed again. I was concerned that Morgan would be frightened by the sound so I covered her ears. A little into the performance she pushed my hands away and say mezmerized.

Let Construction (or Demolition) begin

Earlier this spring the city informed us that we will be getting a new street this summer. We always said that when the city comes through we need to replace the sewer system in one shot. So, the plumbers came on Monday, ripped up our driveway and the basement. As they were trying to connect to the house the pipes under the house collapsed. In the video you see only the beginning (this was lunch time and I came home for a bit). When I got home at 4PM there was a mountain of dirt and 1/2 the basement floor was gone! But now we have ALL new sewer as well as a roughed in 1/2 bath in the basement. What these pictures don't show is that early that afternoon while still working on our house the crew also excavated our next door neighbors (white house in pics) and were done with them before they were done with us! But they did get it done in 1 day! Now we are ready for the new street. Morgan is diggin' all the big trucks - she tells everyone we have Big Trucks in front of our house.

Just Kickin' Back

Got a new helmet

I don't know - we must have a helmet-eating-gremlin in the garage! We have lost Morgan's helmet every summer. Here's her new one for this year. Daddy bought it - I didn't.

'Friderator' Art

After coloring Morgan decided that it needed to hang on the fridge.

Thanks Grandma

Morgan got new sleep sacs and a 'cool' new summer sundress and hat in the mail the other day - fresh from Grandma's sewing room!
