For Beth and Sam

When Morgan was 4 months old she got a Radio Flyer Tricycle from Beth and Sam. Finally she is tall enough to reach the pedals and pedal it!

This was a pic from last June when Jim assembled it. She couldn't make the pedals go 'round nor steer.

This past Saturday afternoon...

Happy Father's Day

The perfect day for dad

Even Morgan is respecting the quiet!

Unfortunately, he's zonked out because he's sick with Morgan's cold! So really not much of a Father's Day

Swim Lessons

Morgan is taking swim lessons all by herself - she's in a class with three other 3/4 year olds. They are all so good and listen so well that they get lots of individual attention.  Today they all wore lifejackets and and had their lesson off the 'table'. Morgan spent the non-swimming times jumping and floating holding on to the rails of the table. She is so excited and yet calm - like an inner stength developing in her own skill; the beginning of self-confidence - self esteem??? It's beautiful to watch.

How will my garden grow???

I finally got most of my gardens in last weekend. It's been rainy since then - which isn't all bad, I don't have to water, but it's also very cool, so things are growing slowly.

I used lots of different sedum - semi suculents, and anchored it with a purple day lilly. Hopefully they all like this new location and will flower later this summer.

Strawberrys are looking good

Folk Art

These are family treasures. Grandpa Husen made rocking toys for all the grand-children (each family got one). The discussion is always who got what. Well here are 2 of the rockers:

Morgan riding Tami and Jon's Camel

Pics from our trip to Mpls

Morgan and I spent a fantastic Memorial Weekend in Mpls with my Aunt/Uncle (Connie/Dan) my cousin Tami and what are now Morgan's 2nd cousins - Kjerstin and Andrew. We also got to see my Aunt/Uncle Kathy/David, cousin Jon and his wife and new son Amy and Royden plus my grandparents! Here are a few highlights:
Having snack at Grnadma Husen's kid-table that all of us first-cousins remember!

Dr Seuss @ MN Zoo

Kjerstin and Morgan - not sharing the tortoise well

The girls exploring the aquarium together!

Their imaginations ran wild!

If I remember right - this was their grocery store.

It's 93 degress outside!

It is indeed summer! Yesterday hit 93 degress - which is quite a shock after weeks of very slowing rising temps and frost warnings over Memorial Day weekend! To beat the heat we went to Target and bought a wading pool. Morgan loved playing with the sprinkler in the pool!

Is it really summer?

The Fargo pools are open - it was 84 degrees today, and Morgan helped in the garden then blew bubbles. It must be summer!

Sweaty and hat-hair

simple joys - bubble blowing

she's got the blowing part down - but she doesn't multitask and keep the bottle up right (just after this pic she spilled all over the driveway)

Our apple tree that we planted a few year ago from root stock had 2 flowers this spring!

Playing Outside

Morgan was playing with a hula-hoop at school and I was practising with the Flip.
